Last monday, President Arroyo delivered her SONA. I haven’t watched it, but was able to read the transcript of it. All of us, especially the taxpayers, have the right to react on this. But it seems that the president has received all the nation’s negativity despite having a speech full of positivity. I am no economist nor a politician to contest or criticize or give negative impression. But to me, her speech is more like a defense to her unpopularity. She just bragged all the improvement she had done since 2001 and that she blamed global crisis the cause of food shortage and oil price hike. Nevertheless, I salute her for calling all government workers to be more responsive to us and shouldn’t stand in the way of the nation’s progress (that they should!). Furthermore, the progress should start on ourselves, because waiting for progress without doing anything is “absolutely insane resolution”.. so serious of me (lol)
